Places to Visit

Around the Great Orme

This one way road around the outside of the Great Orme offers unrivalled views or the Irish Sea and North Wales Coastline. A full loop is 9km (5.7miles) and climbs a total of 182m.

Top of the Orme

The more adventurous could  tackle the steep climbs up to the top of the Orme, where they will be rewarded with breathtaking views, a cafe, an ancient copper mine and a fantastic ride back down again! But be warned, the climb up the zig zags, past St. Tudnos church is 2.5km (1.5 miles) and climbs 155m with gradients getting up to 16%. The climb up the tram tracks, is for only the most experienced riders - 1.85km, climbing 177m and the gradient topping out at an eye watering 20%.

Little Orme and Angel Bay

Llandudno is sandwiched between the Great Orme and it's smaller sister, the Little Orme. Not as well known, but much preferred by the local Seal Colony so definitely worth the trip if you want to spot some unusual wildlife. It's a leisurely 5km ride from the shop to Angel Bay.

Conwy Castle

About 7km (4.3 miles) or 30 minutes away by bike, this world famous town within a Castle is a must see destination for anyone visiting the area. Treat yourself to Ice Cream or Fish and Chips along the Quay when you get there.
